"My grandmother was called Old Mom, don't know why, but we all did. She was a loving and hard working lady. I was told that when the doctor needed help he would go by her home and pick her up to help him with his patients. My grandfather, whom we called Pap had married before he married Old Mom and had several children. Old Mom had six and she looked after all of them. She was a very good cook. One time she was cooking something in a iron pan and I looked over and what was in the pan was jumping around. Well at the table, I was told to try it at least once, it turned out to be tortoise. I did as I was told, but never again. HaHa. She loved flowers. As she grew older her hands became crippled, but she never complained. She was a God loving person and was loved by ALL." Nancy
